Boston Dynamics Atlas is the world's most advanced commercially deployed humanoid robot, produced by Boston Dynamics — a Hyundai Motor Group subsidiary founded in 1992. The fully electric production version was unveiled at CES on January 5, 2026, featuring 56 degrees of freedom, fully rotational joints, a 2.3-meter reach, and 50 kg payload capacity. Atlas can autonomously swap its own batteries for continuous industrial operation and integrates with enterprise systems via Boston Dynamics' Orbit™ fleet management software. All 2026 production units are committed to Hyundai's Robotics Metaplant Application Center and Google DeepMind, with broader commercial availability planned for 2027.
